Biography

Lishuai Li is a Professor in the Department of Data Science with affiliations to the Departments of Systems Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, while serving as the Associate Vice-President (Strategic Research) at City University of Hong Kong. Her research spans the interdisciplinary field of data science and intelligent systems, where she develops analytical methods—from statistical approaches to Artificial Intelligence—for operational excellence of complex systems, e.g. industrial intelligence, low altitude economy, and air transportation systems.

A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Professor Li is also a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), where she chairs the Air Transportation Section (INFORMS ATS). Her editorial roles include Associate Editor for “Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies,” Area Editor for “Artificial Intelligence for Transportation,” and Editorial Board membership for “Journal of Air Transport Management,” “Aerospace,” and “International Journal of Reliability and Safety.” Since 2022, she has been recognized in Stanford-Elsevier’s List of the World’s Top 2% Scientists.

Professor Li earned her Ph.D. and M.Sc. from MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and her B.Eng. in Aircraft Design and Engineering from Fudan University. Her professional experience includes positions at McKinsey & Company in the US and Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. She is also a licensed private pilot.

李立帥是數據科學系的教授，並隸屬於系統工程學系和機械工程學系，同時擔任香港城市大學协理副校長（策略研究）。她的研究涵蓋數據科學和智能系統的跨學科領域，開發智能算法——從統計方法到人工智能——用於複雜系統的卓越運營，包括工業智能，低空經濟，和航空運輸系統。
